With the vigorous development of the plastic industry, plastic granulator filters have become popular in the plastic production industry. Learning how to maintain the filter screen of the plastic granulator is of great help to our production. Today we talk about the matters and maintenance methods that should be paid attention to in the actual production of the filter in the granulator.
1. extruder screen: Pay attention to moisture-proof to avoid rusting of the filter, otherwise rust will appear in the extrudate. What's more serious is that the rusty filter screen is easy to break and the impurities will leak and lose its filtering effect. Therefore, the wire filter must be protected from moisture when storing it, such as putting it in a plastic bag. Or simply switch to an alternative to wire mesh-stainless steel filter mesh.
The stainless steel filter screen does not have the above-mentioned troubles, but the production cost will increase, which must also consider the actual production needs.
Two: When the PVC material is being extruded, never place the exposed filter on the head of the extruder. This is because the hydrochloric acid in the air near the die head will corrode it. The best practice when extruding PVC is to install a fume hood above the die, and be sure to place the spare filter away from here, or even place it in a freezer after bagging it.
3. If the back pressure at the filter becomes larger, the output of the second stage will decrease, but the output of the first stage will not be affected. When the back pressure increases to approximately 2500lb/in2 (1lb=0.4536Kg, 1in=25.4mm), the molten material from the first stage begins to slowly leak into the vent. In order to avoid this kind of phenomenon, the filter must be replaced when the pressure is low.
